BIOGRAPHY
Joass captained the Tasman Mako seven team in 2017, they achieved their best sevens result and saw Joass go on to make his All Blacks Sevens debut in Sydney just weeks later.
A builder by trade, Joass had to overcome a heart condition which threatened his professional rugby career, a heart surgery in 2014 just one obstacle he has overcome on his way to the All Blacks Sevens.
The powerful forward scored a try in the Rugby World Cup Sevens Final in San Francisco.
