Captains Run 11th of July 

 

We’re thrilled to be welcoming many of you to the Captains Run on Friday the 11th of July at Sky Stadium.

 

Here are the key details for Friday afternoon’s event.

 

  • You’re asked to join us at Sky Stadium, Gate J at 1.45pm. When you arrive, please look out for the Black Jersey Pass Sign, and make your way towards it. We will check you in and then you will then be escorted to the VIP lounge.
  • At 2.00pm All Blacks legend  will connect with the group in the lounge. He will talk about his own journey as an All Black, offer you some insights in to camp life on a Test week and other unique All Blacks insights.
  • At 2.25pm you will be escorted down to reserved seating for Captains Run.
  • At 2.30pm The All Blacks will take to the field for their Captains Run.
  • At the conclusion of their training, approx. 3.30pm the All Blacks will participate in signings and photos with the Captains Run attendees.
  • The event will be complete by 4.00pm

Things To Note

 

  • The Gates will close at 2.20pm and there will be no entry after this time.
  • If you are coming from overseas you will be able to get your merch pack at captains run 
  • Filming and photography is not allowed during the Captains Run, this will be monitored.
  • You are very welcome to take photos of your favourites and get ready for selfies once the training has concluded. Our event MC will inform you when you can pull those phones out.

 

Where is Sky Stadium?

 

Located on Waterloo Quay, Sky Stadium is a short walk from the central business district of Wellington. Head to the Wellington Railway Station. Once there, join the elevated walkway that takes you directly to the Stadium entrance.

There are three access points to the walkway.

 

  • From Thorndon Quay just north of the Railway Station
  • From near Shed 21 on the Port
  • Directly from the Railway platforms (8/7, 6/5, 4/3)

How Do I Get There?

 

  • Bus or Train - Numerous services from throughout the Wellington region arrive and depart at the Wellington Railway Station. From the station, it is a short stroll along the Fran Wilde Walkway to reach the Stadium. For further information, visit Metlink 
  • Driving - The Sky Stadium car park is located underneath the Fran Wilde Walkway with vehicle access off Waterloo Quay at the traffic lights opposite the entrance to CentrePort.
  • Uber/Taxi Before and after an event, the drop off point for taxis and shuttles is on the ground level adjacent to the pedestrian ramp*. There is no rank for chartered or "ordered" taxi or shuttles. Please note that there may be delays after the end of an event.

 

Match Day 12th Of July

 

It’s game day! All Blacks vs France kicks off at 7:05PM at Sky Stadium. When you arrive, Black Jersey Pass staff will be positioned at the top of your seating aisle to help guide you to your seat.

 

Don’t forget — your ticket also gives you access to the Black Ferns match at 4:30PM, where they’ll take on rivals Australia in a key warm-up ahead of the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup.
