The Bledisloe Cup is coming to a town near you
These free community events give families and rugby fans the chance to get up close with the Bledisloe Cup, take part in games and activities, and meet some familiar faces along the way.
Children attending the events will also go into the draw to win a trip to Auckland for the Bledisloe Cup match on 10 October 2026 at Eden Park, thanks to Mitey. There are 13 prizes up for grabs.
The tour will visit Christchurch, Ashburton, Oamaru, Dunedin, Invercargill, Rangiora, Blenheim, Wellington, Masterton, Hastings, Tauranga, Morrinsville and Pukekohe.

Mitey Match
The Bledisloe Cup curtain-raiser will see New Zealand Rugby attempt to break a world record, with 521 kids taking on a squad of sporting legends and celebrities in a touch rugby exhibition match. The Mitey Match kicks off on 10 October 2026 at Eden Park.
Registrations are are available to those with tickets to the All Blacks v Australia Test on 10 October at Eden Park, Auckland. Click here to register your child to take the field.

THE MITEY DRIVE FOR FIVE
What is Mitey?
Mitey equips kids with the skills they need before they need them most, by building capabilities in an age-appropriate way, using everyday classroom learning. Starting with emotional literacy to developing strategies to deal with life’s toughest moments, to breaking down advanced concepts like change, grief and loss.
How does Mitey work?
Mitey works with primary and intermediate schools to embed mental health and wellbeing into the way they operate - from governance and leadership to teaching and learning in the classroom, to the playground and wider school community. This whole-school approach helps create an inclusive environment where every child feels seen, valued and supported. Mitey kids become a force for positive change, taking their learning home and into their communities.
Where does the money go?
$5 million will accelerate Mitey towards reaching many more schools - giving thousands more Kiwi kids the skills to tackle life's toughest moments. It's a mighty big challenge, but with your help we aim to:
- Equip hundreds more schools to support children's mental wellbeing.
- Enable thousands of teachers to deliver impactful mental health education, as part of everyday learning.
- Strengthen Mitey so it can continue scaling towards more than 650 schools nationwide.
- Shift the dial for youth mental health.
