HAKA

WHAT IS HAKA?
Haka is one of the most powerful expressions of Māori culture, a living tradition of vigour, pride, identity, and mana that connects our teams in the black jersey to the land, to their heritage, and to each other. Far more than a pre-match ritual, haka has been woven into the fabric of New Zealand rugby for over 130 years, carrying with it the voices, stories, and spirit of those who came before.

TEAM HAKA
Each of our teams perform their own haka: Ka Mate and Kapa O Pango for the All Blacks, Ko Uhia Mai for the Black Ferns, and Te Tīmatanga for the Māori All Blacks - four distinct expressions of pride, unity, and purpose, each composed with deep intention and performed with the utmost respect. Discover the stories, the words, and meaning behind one of New Zealand's most treasured cultural taonga.
