Round 4 of Super Rugby Pacific Fantasy delivered big scores, rising player values and some familiar names dominating team selections as coaches continued shaping their squads.
Top Fantasy scorers from Round 4
Billy Proctor led the Round 4 Fantasy points leaderboard after a standout performance that delivered 99 points, the highest score of the weekend.
Leroy Carter followed with 91 points, while Semisi Tupou Ta'eiloa continued his impressive Fantasy form with 88 points.
Elsewhere, Caleb Tangitau recorded 85 points, while Wallabies forward Charlie Cale rounded out the top five with 74 points.
Biggest Fantasy price rises
Proctor’s strong outing saw his Fantasy value increase $0.5 million to $11.6 million, bringing him closer to the competition’s most expensive player, Damian McKenzie, who remained valued at $12 million after returning to action in his first game of the season.
Cale continued to reward Fantasy coaches who backed him early, climbing another $0.5 million to $9.6 million.
Carter Gordon was another big mover following his 69-point performance for the Queensland Reds, rising $0.5 million to $5.4 million.
Blues winger Codemeru Vai also gained $0.5 million in value, while Devan Flanders increased $0.1 million to $5.4 million after a strong performance in the Hurricanes’ dominant win over the Waratahs.
Moana Pasifika lock Allan Craig was another player on the rise, jumping $0.4 million to $3.9 million.
Most selected Fantasy players
For the fourth consecutive week, Chiefs lock Tupou Vaa'i remained the most selected Fantasy player, appearing in 68.8% of teams.
Cale was owned by 59.1% of coaches, while Chiefs hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho sat just behind at 58.1%.
Quinn Tupaea featured in 53.3% of teams, while Waratahs star Max Jorgensen was owned by 44.9% of Fantasy coaches.
Rounding out the most selected players were Timoci Tavatavanawa (41.5%) and veteran prop James Slipper (41.4%).
Most popular captain picks
With his return to the field, Damian McKenzie immediately reclaimed the title of most popular captain selection, earning 20.78% of captaincy picks.
Jorgensen was the second most selected captain at 7.88%, while Cale followed with 7.12%.
With player values shifting and form players continuing to emerge, Fantasy coaches will now turn their attention to their selections ahead of Round 5.
