Over the course of the series, viewers have been welcomed into spaces and moments that usually remain off-limits, helping to build a stronger connection between the All Blacks and their supporters.

In the finale, the team heads to Cardiff for their final Test of 2025. The episode captures quiet but meaningful moments — from Kava-night bonding and a reflective prayer circle led by the team doctor, to young Hemi’s heartfelt encounter with his heroes. The cameras then take fans inside the sheds for the season’s final moments, offering an honest glimpse of the emotions and rituals that close out a long campaign.

Behind the Fern has stood out this year for its access and authenticity. With footage from locker rooms, team meetings, recovery sessions and other behind-the-scenes spaces, the documentary has shown the day-to-day reality of life inside a world-leading rugby team.

The final episode of Behind the Fern is now available to watch on NZR+ and YouTube, offering a close-up look at the team as they wrap up their 2025 season.
