Josh Lord

BIOGRAPHY

All Black #1199

Josh Lord is a towering lock standing 2.02m tall, known for his lineout prowess and physical presence. A product of Ōwhango and Hamilton Boys’ High School, he first came onto the national radar with the University of Waikato Under-20 side as well as the New Zealand Under-20 team in 2018.

Lord debuted for Taranaki in 2019 and joined the Chiefs in 2021, making his Super Rugby debut against the Crusaders. His impressive performances led to his All Blacks debut in 2021 against the USA.

In 2024, Lord was called up to the All Blacks for the Rugby Championship and started against Argentina. Despite injury setbacks, Lord has remained a key figure in the national setup.
