BIOGRAPHY

A former Auckland Grammar student, Kurt Eklund made his provincial rugby debut for Auckland in 2015.

After a long injury layoff, Eklund shifted to Bay of Plenty and was part of their Championship winning side in 2019.

He had a breakthrough season in 2020, making seven appearances for the Blues in Super Rugby and then earning selection in the North squad for the North v South match.

Eklund went onto make his Māori All Blacks debut off the bench against Moana Pasifika in Hamilton.
