BIOGRAPHY
Black Fern #251
Lucy Jenkins, a phenomenal athlete, has been a consistent performer for Canterbury since her 2018 debut in the Bunnings Warehouse Farah Palmer Cup.
After a standout 2021 season with Canterbury Jenkins was named Canterbury's woman player of the year. Following this, she signed a contract with Matatu ahead of their inaugural season in 2022.
Ahead of the 2023 season, Jenkins focussed solely on becoming the best rugby player she could be – training full-time in the hopes of advancing her career on the field. This paid dividends, with Jenkins being a stand-out across the competition and subsequently named Sky Super Rugby Aupiki player of the year for 2023, winning the competition with Matatū.
Known for her tireless work-ethic and commitment to the game, Jenkins was named in the 2023 Black Ferns squad for the first time and later awarded her first Black Ferns cap during the 2023 Pacific Four Series. This impressive loose forward has a bright future ahead of her.
