BIOGRAPHY

Shiray Kaka debuted for the Black Ferns Sevens in Dubai 2013. With electric footwork and deft pace, she is a handful for opposition defence.

In a career that has been plagued by injuries, Kaka has fought back from shoulder and knee surgeries and returned to the contracted squad in 2020.

She was part of the Olympic Gold medal-winning side at the Tokyo Games in 2020.

Kaka is married to former All Blacks Sevens player Gillies Kaka and away from rugby she has completed courses in dog psychology and training.

The Week that Was … Black Ferns ANZAC weekend & return to Level 3
A return to Level 3 means we are hopefully getting closer to rugby being played again. Our Black Ferns and Black Ferns Sevens players have still been working hard at home in their bubbles, and ensuring they stay safe.
