Sophie, also known as ‘Big Red,’ is one of the most versatile props in women’s rugby. With the ability to slot a conversion from 50+ metres, she isn’t shy to step up to the kicking tee when needed.
After a strong season for the Auckland Storm in 2022, Fisher was impressive in the 2023 edition of Sky Super Rugby Aupiki, showcasing both her scrummaging ability and deft ball playing ability.
2023 continued to be a watershed year for Fisher when she was called into the Black Ferns squad, making her debut in the inaugural WXV 1 competition.
Unfortunately, after a promising start to the 2024 Sky Super Rugby Aupiki season Fisher was side-lined for the remainder of the season with injury.
