Sam Taylor is an emerging forward within the Black Ferns environment, known for her high work rate and ball carrying skills.

Taylor’s earned recognition for her consistent performances with the Manawatū Cyclones in the Farah Palmer Cup and Hurricanes Poua in Super Rugby Aupiki. In 2023, she was named in the inaugural Black Ferns XV squad under Whitney Hansen, and again with the Black Ferns XV touring squad to South Africa last year.
