All Blacks to Name 44-Strong Squad for Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Tour
Thirty years on, the All Blacks are back for a full tour of South Africa
The touring squad will be revealed at 12pm NZT on Monday 27 July, with fans able to see the full selection first on AllBlacks.com and across the All Blacks’ social media channels.
Head Coach Dave Rennie and a selection of players named in the squad will then speak to media in Auckland later that afternoon.
The All Blacks head into the tour after making an unbeaten start to the inaugural Nations Championship. Rennie’s side opened their campaign with a thrilling 34-32 victory over France in Christchurch, before defeating Italy 47-17 in Wellington and Ireland 40-21 at Eden Park.
The Springboks also completed an unbeaten opening block of Nations Championship matches, recording victories over England, Scotland and Wales on home soil.
The Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Tour will be the All Blacks’ first full tour of South Africa since the historic 1996 series. The tour kicks off on Friday 7 August (South Africa time) and features matches against four South African franchise sides and four Tests against the Springboks, including the final encounter in Baltimore, USA.
