Eden Park's greatest All Blacks moments since 1994

The remarkable run began with an 18-18 draw against South Africa in 1994. Since then, the fortress has witnessed unforgettable moments, from Rugby World Cup glory in 2011 to iconic British & Irish Lions clashes in 2005 and 2017, countless Bledisloe Cup triumphs and a catalogue of classic Test performances.

The All Blacks added two more victories to the streak in 2025, overcoming world champions South Africa 24-17 in a blockbuster Rugby Championship clash before defeating Australia 33-24 to retain the Bledisloe Cup.

In July, Ireland became the latest side to fall at the Auckland fortress. The All Blacks scored six tries to three in a 40-21 Nations Championship win, racing out to a 28-7 lead at halftime to extend the streak to 53 Tests.

Wallabies challenge All Blacks' fortress in Bledisloe Cup opener

Now the unbeaten record will be placed on the line once again when the All Blacks face Australia in the first of two Bledisloe Cup Tests at Eden Park on Saturday night.

The All Blacks have held the Bledisloe Cup since 2003, and the Wallabies arrive under new Head Coach Les Kiss looking to end that run. With the Rugby Championship taking a break in 2026, this year's Bledisloe Cup is a standalone two-Test series, with the second Test at Accor Stadium in Sydney on 17 October 2026. A drawn series would see the All Blacks retain the trophy, meaning Australia must win the series outright.

Australia have not won at Eden Park since 1986. With the Bledisloe Cup and the All Blacks' 53-Test unbeaten streak at stake, another huge occasion awaits at the Auckland fortress.
