Inside the All Blacks’ 52-Test Eden Park Unbeaten Streak
All Blacks' Eden Park unbeaten streak reaches 52 Tests
Since 1994, Eden Park has been the stage for one of rugby’s greatest unbeaten streaks.
The All Blacks have now gone 52 consecutive Tests unbeaten at their Auckland stronghold, turning it into one of the sport’s most feared venues.
Eden Park's greatest All Blacks moments since 1994
The remarkable run began with an 18-18 draw against South Africa in 1994. Since then, the fortress has witnessed unforgettable moments, from Rugby World Cup glory in 2011 to iconic British & Irish Lions clashes in 2005 and 2017, countless Bledisloe Cup triumphs and a catalogue of classic Test performances.
The All Blacks added two more victories to the streak in 2025, overcoming world champions South Africa 24-17 in a blockbuster Rugby Championship clash before defeating Australia 33-24 to retain the Bledisloe Cup. Now the unbeaten record will be placed on the line once again when the All Blacks face Ireland in the inaugural Nations Championship at Eden Park on Saturday night.
Ireland challenge All Blacks' fortress in Nations Championship
Both teams enter the sold-out clash with two wins from two in the competition. The All Blacks have defeated France and Italy, while Ireland overcame Australia and Japan, setting the stage for another major chapter in one of international rugby’s most compelling modern rivalries.
Ireland have never defeated the All Blacks at Eden Park, but have emerged as one of New Zealand’s toughest opponents over the past decade. With valuable Nations Championship points and the All Blacks’ 52-Test unbeaten streak at stake, another huge occasion awaits at the Auckland fortress.
