One month from today, the All Blacks and Springboks will take one of international rugby’s greatest rivalries to the United States for the final chapter of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry.

The two teams will meet at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday 12 September local time, (Sunday 13 September, 9am NZT) in the fourth and final Test of their historic series.

After three Tests in South Africa, the teams will cross the Atlantic for the series finale in front of more than 70,000 fans in Baltimore.

The venue will be familiar to American sports fans. M&T Bank Stadium is the home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens and has a seating capacity of 70,257. Opened in 1998, the stadium has established itself as one of the major sporting venues on the US East Coast.

All Blacks in the USA

Baltimore will mark the sixth All Blacks Test played on United States soil, continuing a history that has included matches in Chicago, Washington DC and San Diego.

2014 – All Blacks 74 USA 6, Chicago

The All Blacks made their first US Test appearance at Soldier Field in Chicago, running in 12 tries on their way to a 74–6 victory over the USA Eagles.

2021 – All Blacks 104 USA 14, Washington DC

The All Blacks headed to the US capital in 2021, facing the Eagles at FedEx Field in Washington DC. New Zealand passed 100 points in a dominant 104–14 victory.

2024 – All Blacks 47 Fiji 5, San Diego

San Diego was the next stop in 2024, when more than 33,000 fans watched the All Blacks defeat Fiji 47–5 at Snapdragon Stadium. Seven different All Blacks scored tries, with Billy Proctor and George Bell among those crossing on Test debut.

That gives the All Blacks a record of four wins from five Tests in the United States heading into Baltimore.

A new chapter in the rivalry

This time, the opposition will be the Springboks.

After three Tests between the sides in South Africa, M&T Bank Stadium will provide a spectacular setting for the fourth and final Test of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry and another major showcase for international rugby in the United States.

The 12 September clash will bring the All Blacks to Baltimore for the first time and put New Zealand and South Africa on one of North America’s biggest sporting stages.
