Thousands welcome All Blacks to Cape Town

More than 4,000 fans turned out in Cape Town to welcome the All Blacks ahead of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Tour of South Africa.

Supporters had the chance to see the team up close at the official Welcome Event, where Head Coach Dave Rennie and tour captain Codie Taylor also spoke to the media about the challenge ahead.

The All Blacks will open their eight-match tour against the Stormers in Cape Town, marking the beginning of their first full-scale tour of South Africa since 1996.

Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Tour 30 years in the making

The historic tour includes four Tests against the Springboks and matches against leading South African provincial sides.

The All Blacks will take on the Stormers at DHL Stadium in Cape Town in the opening game of the tour at 5am NZT on Saturday 8 August.
