13: The halfback will be looking to extend her unbeaten run against Australia to 13 consecutive tests. 

 

2018: A stellar season in saw Cocksedge become the first woman to be awarded the Kelvin R Tremain Memorial Trophy as the New Zealand Rugby Player of the Year. She beat All Blacks Richie Mo’unga, Brodie Retallick and Codie Taylor to the top prize.

 

2: In 2015 and 2018 she was the New Zealand Women’s Player of the Year. Victoria Heighway (2007 & 09) and Rawinia Everitt (2012 & 14) are the only other players to have won the accolade twice.

 

19: She debuted for Canterbury in 2007 and after just half a dozen games for the Red and Blacks was promoted to the national team aged 19. Her debut was against Australia in Wanganui.

 

1399: Cocksedge holds the record for the most first class points in New Zealand women’s rugby with 1399 in 155 games

 

12: Cocksedge only started 12 of her first 26 tests from 2007-14, as usurping the legendary veteran Emma Jensen from the starting XV proved a tough task. She hasn’t been on the bench since.

 

2015: One of the most prestigious accolades in the women’s game was bestowed upon Cocksedge when she was named World Player of the Year in 2015, as the Black Ferns completed an unbeaten season a year after their worst World Cup finish.

 

 

11: In a Final for the ages, Cocksedge contributed 11 second half points in the 2017 Rugby World Cup Final, helping the Black Ferns to secure their fifth World Cup title.

 

2021: Another memorable accolade, being made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

Most Test Points: 352 (16t, 88c, 32p) - The next highest scorer is Vanessa Cootes with 215.

Most Penalties in a Black Ferns Test: 4 v England in a 26-7 win in Red Deer in 2015.

Additionally, Cocksedge holds the record for the most first class points in women’s rugby with 1399 in 155 games. She was the first, and so far only, player to pass the 1000 point barrier. She has kicked more conversions (330) and penalties (101) than any other player in New Zealand first class rugby. Only Selica Winiata with 111 tries has scored more tries than Cocksedge with 83. She holds every single individual points scoring record for Canterbury and has won four Farah Palmer Cup Premierships from 2017-20.
