Springboks name team for second All Blacks Test in Cape Town
Major milestones beckon for Springboks stars
Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has named his side for the second Test against the All Blacks at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, with Pieter-Steph du Toit and Ox Nche set to reach major milestones.
Du Toit will captain South Africa in his 100th Test, becoming the 11th Springbok to reach the milestone, while loosehead prop Nche will make his 50th Test appearance.
Siya Kolisi has been bracketed with Paul de Villiers at blindside flanker as he continues his return from injury. Should Kolisi come through training this week, he will start alongside Du Toit and Jasper Wiese in the loose forwards.
There are changes at halfback, with Handre Pollard and Cobus Reinach coming into the starting side, while Ethan Hooker replaces the injured Cheslin Kolbe on the wing. Kurt-Lee Arendse shifts to the right wing, with Damian Willemse at fullback.
The All Blacks take a 1-0 lead into the four-Test series after their 33-16 victory over South Africa at Ellis Park in Johannesburg last weekend. Will Jordan scored twice as the All Blacks crossed for five tries to one.
