An explosive ball carrier and destructive scrummager Benet Kumeroa hails from the Bay of Plenty.
Kumeroa debuted for the Bay of Plenty Steamers in 2021 against Taranaki. Following an impressive 2023 NPC season, Kumeroa secured a training contract with the Hurricanes this year. No shortage of growth has been achieved for the front rower and as a result the young front rower has been named in the 2024 Māori All Blacks squad.
Kumeroa is also a former New Zealand Olympic lifting representative, Oceania Championships and Commonwealth Championships.
