George Bell

At 183cm George Bell is a dynamic young hooker who grew up on a sheep and beef station in Otago. He first played for the Eastern Rugby Football Club in Waikouaiti and later became a boarder at John McGlashan College, where he excelled as an age-grade cricketer.

In 2022 he made his NZ Under-20 debut, scoring five tries across three games. Bell also made his Super Rugby Pacific debut for the Crusaders that year, before he had played his first NPC match for Canterbury.  His standout season saw him named the New Zealand Rugby Almanack Most Promising Player of the Year.

He was selected for the All Blacks in 2024, scoring a try on debut against Fiji.
