Ruben Love is an exciting young talent, known for his versatility as a fullback and first five-eighth. Born in Wellington, he began his professional career with the NPC side in 2020 and joined the Hurricanes in 2021. His dynamic performances in Super Rugby Pacific earned him his first All Blacks call-up in July 2024, though an injury delayed his debut until October that year against Japan in Yokohama. Coming off the bench, Love scored two tries in the final 10 minutes, contributing to a 64–19 victory.

Love earned his second All Blacks cap in the series finale against France in July 2025. He has demonstrated his adaptability by excelling in multiple backline positions and his speed, vision, and playmaking ability make him an exciting prospect for the future.
