Santo Taumata

Santo Taumata is a dynamic prop for the Black Ferns and Chiefs Manawa, renown for her power and relentless work ethic. She began her rugby journey at Te Puke High School and played for the Raniuru Rugby Club.  

In 2022, at just 19, Taumata made her Black Ferns debut against Australia in the Laurie O’Reilly Cup and was later selected for the Rugby World Cup winning squad. That same year, she joined Chiefs Manawa for the inaugural Sky Super Rugby Aupiki season and was named Emergin Player of the Year in the Farah Palmer Cup.  

After a knee injury that sidelined her in 2023, Taumata made a return to Chiefs Manawa for the 2025 season.
