Rugby fans in Auckland are in for more than just 80 minutes of Test match action when the All Blacks and Australia clash at Eden Park on Saturday, 27 September. 

 

For the first time, New Zealand Rugby and Sky are creating a new match-day experience around one of the game’s biggest nights – giving fans more reasons than ever to be there. 

 

With kick-off set for a family-friendly 5:05pm, ticket holders are invited to enjoy the Sky Fan Zone at the Kennards Hire Community Oval both before and after the Test. 

 

The Sky Fan Zone is exclusive to All Blacks v Australia ticket holders. Don’t miss out.

  • Ella Monnery – Powerhouse vocalist who has commanded some of the country’s biggest stages and international events.

Getting to and from the sky fan zone

 

The Sky Fan Zone is located at the Kennards Hire Community Oval is located West of the main Eden Park Stadium Here.

 

The best entrances for the Fan Zone are: 

 

  • Gate Q on Sandringham Road
  • Gate A or Gate H – once inside, head via the concourse behind the West Stand and follow the signage. 

Special event bus and train travel is all included with your match ticket from 11:30am until end of daily services. There are planned rail upgrades are taking place over the weekend, and only one platform is available to transport passengers to the city after the game. 

 

This means there may be slightly longer waiting times than usual to get a train to the city after the game. Consider taking a bus if the train lines are long, or sticking around a little longer for post-match festivities. Post match, trains heading West will depart from Morningside station and trains heading to the city will depart from Kingsland as usual, but wait times could be up to 15 minutes longer than usual. 

 

Normal wait times for trains are a maximum of 30 minutes, this weekend it could be up to 45 minutes. There will also be rail replacement buses between Manukau and Pukekohe, and Swanson & Henderson.

 

Alternative ways to travel to and from Kennards Hire Community Oval include:

 

  • Walk: The Kennards Hire Community Ovalis an easy 25-minute walk from Auckland’s CBD.
  • Uber/Taxi: Pick-ups and drop-offs are possible outside the Eden Park road closure area.

    You must purchase tickets to the All Blacks v Australia test match to gain access to the Sky Fan Zone.
  • Can I buy tickets just for the Sky Fan Zone?
    No. This event is exclusive to All Blacks v Australia ticket holders. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • Do you have to be 18+ to attend?
    The Sky Fan Zone welcomes all ages. We also have a dedicated Kids Zone for the little ones.
  • How do you enter the Sky Fan Zone?
    Access to the fanzone will be via the normal ticketing gate entrance, then down the West Concourse stairs onto the outer oval.
