BIOGRAPHY

All Black #1115

The most capped member of the current All Blacks squad, Beauden Barrett is one of New Zealand rugby’s most electrifying playmakers, renowned for his devastating speed, pinpoint kicking, and astute game management. He won back-to-back World Rugby Player of the Year awards in 2016 and 2017 and is now third on the All Blacks’ all-time Test points list.

Barrett made his provincial debut for Taranaki in 2010 at 19 and joined the Hurricanes in Super Rugby in 2011. He quickly became a key figure for the Wellington-based side, helping them secure their first Super Rugby title in 2016 and playing his 100th Super Rugby game in 2022.

He made his All Blacks Test debut in 2012 as an impact substitute, earning his first start in 2014 and featuring in six matches at RWC 2015, including scoring a memorable try in the Final. Barrett’s early representative career also includes playing for the All Blacks Sevens in 2010 and the New Zealand Under 20 side in 2011.

Known for his flair, versatility across fly-half and fullback, and ability to influence big games, Barrett has been a cornerstone of New Zealand rugby for over a decade.
