Jacob Devery (Te Aitanga a Māhaki) has developed into one of the Hurricanes most dependable front rowers after progressing through the Hawke’s Bay system. A former New Zealand Under-20 representative, Devery has built his game around consistency and physicality, earning Māori All Blacks selection through his strong performances in Super Rugby Pacific and the NPC.

An accurate set-piece hooker with a high work rate around the park, Devery brings physical defence, reliable lineout throwing and strong ball-carrying ability to the Māori All Blacks environment. His impact through repeated phases and willingness to contribute in tight exchanges have made him a valuable presence in the forward pack.
