Black Ferns Sevens #83
One of the most electrifying players in world rugby across 15's and sevens rugby, Jorja Miller was a standout for Christchurch Girls' High School at several editions of Condor Sevens, she played for the Canterbury Farah Palmer Cup team and was the MVP at Ignite7 in 2020. She made her Black Ferns Sevens debut in 2022, and went on to win World Rugby's Rookie of the Year in her first season. In her second season she was nominated for World Rugby's Player of the Year and won the prestigious Kelvin R Tremain Memorial Player of the Year for New Zealand's leading rugby player. At just 20, Miller won the Player of the Year award and then an Olympic gold medal in Paris, making her New Zealand's youngest-ever Olympic champion.
Equally effective in attack and defence, Miller brings explosive carrying, breakdown presence and strong game awareness to the Black Ferns Sevens environment. Her ability to consistently win turnovers, create line breaks and maintain intensity across tournaments has quickly made her one of the side’s most important all-round performers.
