Regan Ware is a former New Zealand schoolboy representative who debuted for New Zealand Sevens at the 2015 Dubai Sevens tournament. He was selected for the New Zealand squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. A member of the 2018 Commonwealth Games and World Cup-winning All Blacks Sevens teams, Ware scored a crucial try in the gold medal final against Fiji to claim Commonwealth gold. He was also part of the side that brought home silver at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Away from sevens, Ware has played NPC for Taranaki and Bay of Plenty, and was selected for the Māori All Blacks in 2018. One of New Zealand sevens' most decorated players, Ware continues to provide valuable experience in the backline.
