After dispatching Western Province 86-0 and the Sharks 54-13 earlier in the tour, Mark Hammett’s side found much stiffer opposition in the form of the Leopards.
The Leopards played an expansive game which tested the NZ U19s defence unlike the first two matches on tour.
Once again, there was no shortage of tries for New Zealand with Epeli Waqaicece scoring two, while Dylan Irvine, Hunter Morrison, Semisi Ta’eiloa and Essendon Tuitupou each crossed the line once. Ajay Faleafaga converted five tries, and Byron Smith one.
New Zealand 42 (Epeli Waqaicece 2, Dylan Irvine, Hunter Morrison, Semisi Ta’eiloa, Essendon Tuitupou tries, Ajay Faleafaga 5, Byron Smith 1 con) Leopards 31
HT: 28 - 17
