New Zealand Under 19 rout Western Province in tour opener

The New Zealand Under 19 (NZU19) team has opened their four-match tour of South Africa with an 86-0 rout of Western Province Under 19 at Paul Roos Stadium in Stellenbosch.

NZU19 scored 14 tries in a comprehensive display of running rugby and unbreakable defence. It was the first time a New Zealand Under 19 team had taken the field since the 2007 Under 19 World Championships. Next up the NZU19s take on the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.
