Maia Davis is a familiar name to many, having two seasons of Farah Palmer Cup with the Manawatū Cyclones under her belt, along with two campaigns with the New Zealand Under-18 Sevens team and a stint in the New Zealand Sevens Development team. Davis made her international debut at the 2025 Canada Sevens in Vancouver, scoring her first try in a 41–7 win over Fiji, and was a member of the New Zealand team which won the Hong Kong Sevens in March 2025.

A skilful and energetic player, Davis contributes speed, strong support lines and defensive intensity to the Black Ferns Sevens squad. Her work rate and ability to influence matches in transition play continue to add value to the side.
