Round 5 belonged to Springboks fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who delivered a record-breaking 147 points – the highest single-round score in Fantasy Rugby Championship history. Feinberg-Mngomezulu was at the heart of South Africa’s Durban demolition, bagging three tries (+45), a try assist, 8 conversions, 2 penalties, plus a staggering tally of linebreaks (+21) and defenders beaten (+26).

Hot on his heels, loose forward Pieter-Steph du Toit produced the top forward performance of 2025 with 80 points, including two tries (+30), 12 defenders beaten and 14 linebreaks. Returning All Blacks halfback Cam Roigard was the week’s third-best scorer on 63 points, thanks to two tries (+30) and a clutch 50:22 (+10) in his first TRC start of the season.

It was a high-scoring weekend across the board, with nine players topping 40 points – split evenly between forwards (5) and backs (4).

In terms of fan selections, Ardie Savea remained the most popular pick (75% selected, 15% captained), rewarding managers with 49 points to move his total to 191 – enough to sit #1 overall ahead of Wallabies superstar Joseph Sua’ali’i (181) and Du Toit (178).

The Fantasy Manager of the Week title went to Mark Williams, a Chiefs supporter who struck gold by triple-captaining Feinberg-Mngomezulu for an outrageous 441 points. He finished the round with 915 points, the top score across the competition.

Heading into the final weekend, just 48 points separate the top three overall players, and with chips still in play, the ultimate prize could be decided by one bold call.

The stage is set for a blockbuster finish – Springboks v Pumas at Twickenham, All Blacks v Wallabies in Perth – and the Fantasy Rugby Championship crown still up for grabs.
