Scott Gregory grew up playing rugby for Hikurangi and attended Whangārei Boys' High School, where he captained the First XV and represented the New Zealand Secondary Schools Barbarians.. He was contracted to the All Blacks Sevens and debuted on the World Series with a championship win in Dubai in 2018. He later played Super Rugby for the Highlanders and spent time with Italian club Zebre Parma.

Gregory has returned to the All Blacks Sevens programme eight years after his debut. A composed and skillful back, Gregory contributes pace, game awareness and strong finishing ability to the All Blacks Sevens.
